Shift catalysts
Introduction
Shift catalysts are used to transform syngas composition by increasing the amount of hydrogen while simultaneously reducing the CO content. These catalysts are commonly used in ammonia, hydrogen and methanol plants, and used to remove residual CO.
Working principle:
Shift catalysts improve plant efficiency by increasing hydrogen conversion and generating useful process heat. Conversion to hydrogen is through the Water Gas shift (WGS) reaction:
CO + H2O ↔ CO2 + H2
Application
This product is mainly used for deep conversion of low-content CO in ammonia plants and hydrogen production plants. It can convert about 3% of CO to about 0.2%. The catalyst uses electrolytic copper and zinc ingots as the main raw materials, and adopts co-precipitation legal production.

Product usage and maintenance
·Normal use
Operating temperature: 170~260°C
Best temperature: 210~230°C
Operating pressure: normal pressure ~ 5.0MPa
Applicable airspeed: 1000~4000h-1
H2S in raw gas: ≤ 0.1ppm
Chlorine in raw gas: ≤ 0.03ppm
(Note: LB208 can be used at lower temperature or higher air velocity to increase the production capacity of the
device).
·Maintenance
a. Pay attention to stable operation during operation, prevent peroxide, prevent overheating, prevent liquid, and
prevent poisoning
b. Sulfur and chlorine are one of the common main causes of catalyst poisoning and deactivation. Effective
measures should be taken to minimize the content of sulfur and chlorine.
Our activated carbon series have been exported to Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, Oceania and other countries and regions, which enjoys good reputation.
